One of the decisions you'll have to make for your big day is at what time the wedding bells should ring. Many couples tend to get married as early as three in the afternoon as they want to enjoy as much time as possible with their friends and family on their wedding day. Although, this would be a fairytale come true, it's not the same for wedding photographers. Remember that your wedding photographer in Bloemfontein wants to photograph you and your family with the best available light.
No bride will look good when photographed at 4pm with the harsh December sunlight in her face. Furthermore the scorching Bloemfontein sun will be 25 degrees plus and not to mention the horrible casting of shadows.
We, as wedding photographers, want to ensure that we photograph the bride and groom with the best possible light. Bearing this in mind we compiled four different time slots that we encourage couples to adhere to. If you start your ceremony with the below times in mind we can provide you with breathtaking photographs as the light will be superb when we start with the couple shoot.
Best time to start your ceremony to ensure great wedding photographs:
- Dec-Jan: 4:30pm - 5:00pm
- Feb: 4:00pm
- March - April: 3:30pm - 4:00pm
- May - July: 3:00pm - 3:30pm
- Aug - November: 4:00pm - 4:30pm
If you are lucky to get married on a cloudy day then the above mentioned times won't be applicable as your wedding photographers will be able to take photographs at any given angle. If you plan to have more formalities during your ceremony you can start your wedding 30 minutes prior to the above mentioned times.
Remember that your wedding photographers will get the best photographs during the so called 'golden hour' (20 minutes before sunset and 10 minutes after sunset) as the light will be much softer and this will be reflected once you receive your edited wedding photographs.
